Emma Garabetian (nominated by Harry Leon) was recently awarded the Outstanding Small Businesswoman Award at the 13th Annual Women In Business Luncheon, presented by State Senator Carol Liu, and Assembly Members Mike Gatto & Anthony Portantino. Emma Garabetian owns Modella Uniforms, which has been in business for over 15 years, providing work wear and uniforms for those in school, the medical and culinary fields, and scouts. She has established full manufacturing capabilities and a donation program to give back to her community’s schools, medical centers, and businesses. She currently operates three retail locations and provides on-campus sales for private and public schools. Emma is an active member within a number of groups and organizations including the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce, Armenian Relief Society, Crescenta Valley Homenetmen Chapter, and the Armenian Cultural Foundation. Her fundraising efforts include organizing events such as Crescenta Valley’s Hometown Fair, Winter Wonderland, ARS Cultural-Food Festival, and the Korean-Armenian Festival. Alongside her company and non-profit organizational work, Emma is happily married with two children.
